Arenacross has always thrived on unpredictability — and in 2026, it welcomes one of the most compelling crossover entries in its history.
World-class Speedway ace Dan Bewley will line up in the Arenacross Pro-Am class for the very first time, bringing elite two-wheeled skills, fearless commitment and a champion’s mentality to the UK’s most intense indoor motocross series.
The Arenacross Pro-Am class is renowned for close-quarter battles, elbows-out racing and moments of controlled chaos. Add a rider who has built a career controlling motorcycles at extreme speed with no brakes, and the spectacle reaches another level entirely.
Bewley is no stranger to the Arenacross environment. At the start of 2025, he lined up in the Arenacross Celebrity Mini Bike Race in Manchester, where he charged through the field to finish second place, despite giving the rest of the field a significant head start. It was a light-hearted race — but one that offered a clear reminder of his natural speed, race intelligence and instinct to compete, regardless of machinery.
For those less familiar with Speedway, Bewley stands among the elite of his generation. A five-time Speedway Grand Prix winner, third overall in the 2025 Speedway World Championship, and two-time Speedway of Nations champion, the 26-year-old Cumbrian arrives at Arenacross at the peak of his powers — and ready for a new challenge.
While Bewley’s name is synonymous with Speedway success, his journey began in motocross. He started racing at just five years old and spent over a decade progressing through the schoolboy motocross ranks. Still racing a big-wheel 85cc machine at the age of 16 — the same size used in Arenacross’ Supermini class — the move to full-size machinery didn’t make financial sense at the time.
Reflecting on his switch to Speedway, Bewley explains “I was looking for something to do and got into Speedway. Being used to Motocross among a lot of riders, I got a reputation in Speedway as being a pretty good passer, because a lot of those kids aren’t used to having so many riders around them. Motocross definitely helped that, and I just kept getting better at Speedway!”. That motocross background now comes full circle. Bewley continues to ride regularly in Cumbria and is already relishing the Arenacross challenge “If there’s a sand section in Arenacross I’d be quite happy – nobody else would!”
So when TRUE Customs team boss Troy Wharton asked if he fancied joining an Arenacross team for 2026, Bewley’s answer was immediate “I didn’t take much persuading!”
Fans have already had a glimpse of what Bewley could be capable of indoors, having seen him ride a Stark VARG around Dylan Woodcock’s Arenacross practice track on his own YouTube channel — comfortably tackling jumps, combinations and the whoops with confidence. “I don’t wanna sound cocky, but when I did a Pit Bike race in Manchester a few years ago, I thought I could clear most of the jumps on a little 140cc bike, so on a Stark I should be in with a shout.”
With Speedway riders renowned for explosive starts and ruthless opening laps, Bewley could quickly establish himself as a genuine Pro-Am contender — and perhaps more. His competitive edge and fearless mentality make him one of the most intriguing additions to the 2026 Arenacross Tour.
