BELFAST CALLING FOR ARENACROSS TOUR

The opening rounds of the 2023 Arenacross tour takes place in The SSE Arena in Belfast on January 20th and 21st. The track design is now out, you can view below along with some key information along with a look back on a round in Belfast in 2020.

Every Arenacross track is carefully planned and sculpted, optimising the space and orientation of each arena floor in order to deliver the most technically-challenging race circuit imaginable.

At The SSE Arena, Belfast, locally-sourced dirt will be used to create a tight but technical track which promises to be a great season opener.

The track-building team will take rider feedback into consideration and then go into something of a creativity overdrive, devoting hours of manpower to producing an exciting dirt-filled racing playground for the viewing pleasure of the thousands of expectant Arenacross fans.

From the moment the mechanical start gate drops, the tracks with their tight and twisty turns, banked corners and huge jumps are designed to encourage plenty of close and hard-charging race action all the way to the chequered flag!

Facts;
It takes 48 hours to build the circuit.
It takes just 24 hours to break down, and tonnes of dirt are shipped into the arena; that’s lorry loads.
Incredible two-and-a-half miles of fencing and six-and-a-half miles of power cables are used.

You can actually get to walk the hallowed Arenacross ground and check out those jumps and whoops for yourself by upgrading your ticket to one of our race night VIP Experiences – CLICK HERE.

Sustainable track building
We take sustainability seriously when building our Arenacross events. All of our lighting is low-energy and efficient LED whilst we’ve set a number of targets when building an Arenacross track such as using re-cycled material that is located no further than 10 miles away from each venue. Where possible, we own the dirt and store it no further away than 3 miles to reduce the number of trucks that we use to transport to and from each venue. Since 2013, we have reduced the number of miles transporting the dirt by over 500 per event! And finally, the machinery that we use to build the tracks are the latest low-emission models available.
