MIDDLESBROUGH and Belle Vue have an early start as they meet in the WSRA NDL today (Sunday) at the ECCO Arena at midday.
The two teams have the incentive of trying to avoid the wooden spoon with the Tigers one point ahead of the Colts, who still have their final fixture to come at Leicester on Wednesday.
Ryan Ingram and Seth Norman step in for the Tigers in place of Jamie Halder and Kai Ward, whilst Jack Kingston is out for the visitors due to illness and they operate rider replacement.
Middlesbrough boss Brian Turner said: “We ran them close (losing 46-43) at the National Speedway Stadium and that gives us hope, so hopefully we can finish the season on a high with a home win.
“It’s a chance for the riders to put themselves into the shop window for next season, whether that be a spot in a higher league or getting a team berth back at this level.”
Colts co-boss Graham Goodwin said: “At least with this late re-staging, we have both Will and Freddy back with us, as we look to finish off the season with a couple of good performances, firstly against Middlesbrough, and then in our last meeting at Leicester on Wednesday.
“It’s a shame to be missing Jack, as he has fitted in really well after being a late addition to the side at the eleventh hour back in March.. We know the lads will give it their best to cover for him.”
