Preview: Round eleven and UK venue Cusses Gorse to host nail-biter

We have not yet dried our clothes or taken breath, but already the teams are on the move from what was a sensational GP in Northern Ireland, back across the water heading for the South-West of England to Cusses Gorse near Salisbury in Wiltshire for the tenth round.

Whatever the weather conditions prior to the upcoming event, a huge degree of time and effort has gone into the return of a World Championship Sidecar Motocross weekend in England after thirteen years away.

This is the first and last time a GP will be held on this track as the landowners are returning much of the surrounding land to agriculture at the end of September.

With just eight GP races left on the schedule, the two teams at the top emerged from Ireland in the same state as they went in.

Eighteen points is still the gap between red plate holders Marvin Vanluchene and Nicolas Musset and Husqvarna mounted reigning champions Etienne Bax and Ondrej Cermak.

Chasing them, but running out of time, are Koen Hermans and Ben Van Den Bogaart a further thirty-six points back, with the hopes of British fans resting with Brett Wilkinson and Joe Millard sitting fourth after an eventful, but nonetheless successful GP in Ireland.

They now have a thirty-one-point breathing space from Justin Keuben and Dion Rietman who are now under real threat from seventeen-year-old Latvian sensations Daniel and Bruno Lielbardis just three points further back.

The youngsters have grown in stature and confidence as the season has unfolded, and their first GP podium beckons.

This has been a great season so far with all the early rounds taking place in hot, dry conditions, so rain was something new last weekend. There is every chance there will be more of the same in Wiltshire but that will not deter the legions of fans which abound in that part of the world.

We will be on-site from early Thursday morning preparing for what we know will be yet another fantastically tense and exciting two races
