A World & British Championship – Arenacross set to strike 100!

After 10 years of packing out UK arenas with over 500,000 fans, making it the most successful indoor motocross series outside of the U.S Supercross championship, the 2025 Arenacross Tour looks set to be the best year to date with the announcement that the tour will climax at the awesome Etihad Arena on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi on Saturday 26th April.

Not only this, but riders and teams will be going to battle for the £250,000 prize purse – possibly the richest indoor purse to date! (outside of the USA).

Britain’s best along with some of the world’s top dirt bike racers will all be battling it out under the lights across major UK cities in the race to Abu Dhabi. The all new ACU British Arenacross championship, exclusive to racers based in the UK, will run over the first six tour dates with the champion being crowned at Manchester’s AO Arena before the tour heads to the middle east and what is sure to be an intense, action packed ‘World Tour Finals’ where the winner will walk away £25,000 richer for their night’s work.

The opening round in Birmingham marks a significant landmark for Arenacross with it being the 100th night of the adrenaline inducing show that is more than just racing with dynamic FMX performances, pyrotechnics, lazers, a pumping soundtrack and the latest full-time addition to the AX tour – The Fuel Girls. Something Arenacross owner Matt Bates is particularly proud of as he strives and drives forward to make AX the largest multi-city World Tour for indoor Motocross.

“Arenacross has come such a long way since it started in 2013 at London’s iconic O2 Arena, so I feel hugely fortunate and proud that our live shows are spreading their wings, performing in the UK’s best arenas as well as finishing our amazing tour in Abu Dhabi’s incredible Etihad Arena in April. And now our fully-sanctioned British and World Tour Championship sets its path across the globe, our aim is to continue creating even greater live Motocross Shows that our loyal fans and riders love so much. 2025 is just the beginning for Arenacross”.

The 2024 Arenacross tour made significant history in the sport with Jack Brunell not only winning his first AX championship after 10 years of trying but also the first for an electric powered dirt bike, giving the Stark Future Racing Team their first international title in their debut championship quest. Brunell is obviously chomping at the bit to get the 2025 AX Tour underway where he’ll be doing all he can to make it two championships on the spin.

“I’m really looking forward to running the number one plate, it’s been a goal of mine for years. I’m also pleased and excited on the news of an official ACU British Arenacross championship being introduced. As a British rider I think it’s a huge step forward for AX in our country to help it grow and get more youngsters coming through and racing in packed out arenas. Then to have the opportunity with the World Tour rounds to get to Abu Dhabi is massive, credit to Matt Bates and the team for that and for looking at the long-term future of AX and the possibilities of taking it to countries all over the world. I’m excited and proud to be part of it, especially as the defending champion. Stark Future Racing now have a new race bike and I’m really looking forward to bringing that into the 2025 championship and going for the win again along with my teammates.”
